NJ Construction has successfully completed the Tamworth to Gunnedah 66kv Transmission Line project for Country Energy. This included reconstruction of existing and installation of new transmission line at Tamworth, NSW. The value of the project was $4.5 Million, and the project was delivered on time.
At Tamworth the activities included installation of a twin circuit steel pole transmission line including optical ground wire (OPGW), and tie in to existing substation. At Gunnedah twin transmission lines were refurbished, and new conductors and overhead earth wire (OHEW) installed.
The conductors and OPGW were installed utilizing tension stringing techniques.
